As someone who is utterly obsessed with seeking the best eats wherever I am, I was most excited when Chatswood Chase asked if I’d like to eat my way through their shopping centre! Like a kid in a candy store, I was given free reign to roam all four floors, following the whim of my appetite.

The first time round, I submitted my top 5 eats as part of their World Of Food campaign and was so chuffed to be featured alongside Donna Hay! For this second round, Fleur Wood (re: her book that she is launching called Food Fashion Love); Lorna Jane (on healthy food that keeps her mood happy), Massimo Mele (Chef from La Scala on Jersey in Paddington), and myself, each talked about what food makes us happy!

So here’s what I found:

Banquet Chargrill

Juicy skewers of chicken, beef and lamb kofta are chargrilled to order. You don’t expect to be able to find an authentic taste of Turkish / Middle Eastern street food in a shopping centre food court but here it is. Joy!

Pattisons Patisserie

This charming French patisserie has a devoted following with several stores across Sydney. You’ll be impressed with their fruit tart, a divine creation with apricots, blueberries, strawberries, kiwi fruit, and pear, glamorously crowning the crisp buttery pastry and creamy custard.

De Costi Seafood

Nothing makes me happier than a good bargain. De Costi’s fish of the day changes frequently and is always under $10. Today, the grilled jemfish with side of chips and salad is only $8.50 – a healthy and delicious meal deal!

Raw Smoothie & Juice Bar

Depending on the blend, juices can have fantastic cleansing and rejuvenating properties. How can you not feel happy when you’re feeling great! One of Raw’s most popular blend is beetroot, orange and pineapple.

Quattro Formaggi Deli

This deli is a food lover’s haven stocked with plenty of quality and hard-to-find ingredients. I could spend hours happily browsing each aisle. P.S. You must try Pic’s legendary peanut butter!

There’s nothing quite like the delight I get from seeing myself in print, let alone knowing that there’ll be 10,000 copies of this booklet distributed at the shopping centre and local area! Go and grab a copy or check out the digital copy below:
