Ice-Cream Series: Hakiki Turkish Ice-Cream

I personally think ice-cream is a food group, and the best food group at that; it's hard to deny that the cold treat is a winner all year long. Sydney has an abundance of...
Auburn Chinese Restaurant

cheap and delicious, Auburn Chinese Restaurant

I have found it. Fresh and cheap seafood that doesn't compromise on taste! Okay, so the service can be a hit and miss at times, but the food is casual Chinese at its best.
Black Star, Newtown

Australia Day at Black Star Pastry and my pop-up radio gig on ABC Radio...

Not many public holidays make sense to me. For example, why do we celebrate the Queen's Birthday on a date that's so far from her real birthday? But with that aside, I do love...

It was a cheery atmosphere filled with loud conversations and laughter. The service was flirtatious but efficient.

Hello Happy, Strathfield

Last Monday would have been just another girly catch-up dinner at CeCi in Strathfield had I not discovered Hello Happy (to which I squealed with excitement). As you may have noticed, I'm a regular at...
Flying-Fish, Pyrmont

5 year anniversary at Flying Fish

This is the view of the Sydney Harbour Bridge from my seat. Fabulous aye? Flying Fish is located in a warehouse along Pyrmont's Jones Bay Wharf, just off Pirrama Road. The story hasn't changed much...
Dooleys waterview, Silverwater

Waterview – Dooleys at Silverwater

Since I just posted on Dooleys at Lidcombe, I thought it was only fair to write about the much classier sister restaurant. Waterview was opened some time in 2005, and targets the business lunchers and families. It offers a cafe oriented menu which features lots of gourmet goodies.
